  A joyless memorial

  many years ago i started a thread entitled 'a religion with nothing to celebrate' (https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/80630/religion-nothing-celebrate).. prior to about the year 2000, our congregation met in what had previously been an old church.

  we purchased it and even though we had little cash, made the place beautiful.

  it had real character, with beautiful wood work and we even managed to keep some of the stained glass windows as they weren't religious in nature.

  Hey Joey, I remember that one well, it was a real pain, I had three little kids to manage also. One really good thing about it was that we got to see old rubber face up on the big screen for the first time and that was a light bulb moment for me, why would a god that really wants to get the message out there choose people that are so credibility bankrupt.

  Going To The Meetings To Give A Witness

  e tricki've been tossing around the idea of perhaps going to a meeting in the future just to check things out i'm in no hurry this could happen months or years from now.

  i would like to give them a witness about some of the problems i see as a newly interested person checking things out.

  maybe just hanging back after coming to the meeting late and casually talking with people as a non pushy interested in what going on after some internet search led me to jw.org.

  ok, so i played the game of putting on my jw apologetic cap for a moment, and thought of how a devout jw could rationalize this whole liquor buying situation.. they could say:.

  "this actually proves that jehovah is guiding his organization!!

  he was bringing this activity of tomo3 to light, and it would also prove to be a loyalty test for all jws, to see if they would be stumbled right out of the truth!".
